The age limit for applying for "Porta 65" goes from 30 to 35 years. The new rules come into force with the State Budget for 2018.

Applications are submitted through the Portal da Habitação. For this, it is necessary to enter the tax identification number and password of the Finance Portal. Each year, four Porta 65 nomination periods are open: two in April, one in September and the other in December. Each takes place for at least 15 days.
