In the main parishes of Lisbon, where investment in real estate is more relevant, foreign investors spent an average of 40% more than the Portuguese who bought in the same areas. The figures are from Confidencial Imobiliário, which analyzed the period from January 2016 to June 2017.

Foreigners who acquired real estate in the parishes of Ajuda de Ajuda, Alcântara, Arroios, Avenidas Novas, Belém, Campo de Ourique, Estrela, Misericórdia, Santa Maria Maior, Santo António and São Vicente invested, on average, 338 thousand euros. This figure is about 40% above the 244,000 euros invested per acquisition, on average, by the Portuguese in these areas in the same period.
