The magnitude of the port of Funchal in 400 meters is expected to cost 100 million euros, a value "cheaper" than originally planned, said today the president of the Government of Madeira, highlighting the importance of the work in protecting the city.

"The potential increase in the port of Funchal has to do primarily with the protection of the bay from exceptional weather conditions at sea. Secondly, it has to do with the need to make use of the future to make a consistent expansion of the marina, "said Miguel Albuquerque.
