We found important shortcomings in the certification of nine of the 16 housing units we visited, and only four cases merited a good overall assessment. Six years after the last study on energy certification of existing housing, and already with new regulations in place, the panorama has changed little. The energy certificate is important to reduce energy consumption and improve the comfort of buildings. However, there must be a control circuit of this activity, through the random analysis of concrete certificates and the evaluation of their correctness and pertinence. This work must be done by ADENE (Agency for Energy). In turn, operators should be periodically sensitized to the rules they have to comply with.
