By September, 5.5 families had been evicted a day. Duties from the National Rental Desk have doubled since 2013.

Low wages and rising incomes are leaving many Portuguese families unable to afford their homes. Last year, a total of 1931 families were dumped through the National Rent Desk (BNA).
