The Tax Authority (Finance), through the Fraud Investigation and Special Actions Investigations Department, will reinforce inspections of the leased-house market, focusing in particular on leasing to tourists and students.

Inspections of illegal leases will increase because the suspicion of tax evasion associated with informal, undeclared leases falls on about 400,000 homes, which, if true, could translate into unrecorded tax revenue of around € 300 million. euros.
