The property known as Casa Navarro building, located at the end of Freedom Square, is being transformed into a hotel. The owners of the well-known brand of jewelery and watch shops, David Rosas, bought the emblematic building of the former BES, located at Avenida dos Aliados, worth more than seven million euros.

The proposal presented by the family that owns the well-known store brand, based in Oporto, was the winner of a very contested competition - launched by the Novo Banco - whose short shortlist integrated a group of other interested investors that reveal great financial capacity, some of them funds with very significant real estate investments.
