The average bank valuation of housing in the Algarve and in the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon was 26% and 21%, respectively, higher than in the rest of the country.

The average value of bank housing valuation increased for the fifth consecutive month. According to data from the Instituto Nacional de Estatística (INE),last month, this indicator stood at 1,122 euros per square meter (m2), a rise of five euros when compared to the month of July.
