The construction sector is expected to maintain a "positive trajectory" in 2018 and is expected to grow 4.5% of its total production, although growth slowed compared to this year, the industry federation announced today.

"This [4.5%] forecast reflects a slowdown in growth compared to 2017, for which an increase of 5.9% is estimated, but it nevertheless seems to confirm the beginning of a recovery period of the sector, after the serious and long crisis that it has lived since 2002, "the Portuguese Federation of the Construction Industry and Public Works (FEPICOP) said in a statement.
